Exploring DORA - Mapping DevOps Performance

Quantifying DevOps can seem like a daunting task.  But if you bring the right map – it doesn’t have to be.  For more than six years, the DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) team has strived to measure and understand how DevOps teams and businesses achieve performance…and they were successful.  They found that four simple measurements focusing on improving those metrics can accurately separate elite performers from the rest.

In this talk, you’ll learn about the DORA 4 metrics and their significance in determining overall team performance in organizations large and small.  Then we’ll look at why it can be hard to measure these metrics that seem simple at first.  How can we figure out the lead time for changes if those changes have to go through half a dozen different systems before they are in production?  Consolidation and the rise of the DevOps platform coupled with the power of the DORA 4 will revolutionize the next era of DevOps – and widen the gap between Elite and Low performing teams.
