GitHub Actions For Automated CI/CD Deployment To An AWS Containerized Stack

Large numbers of development teams have not yet adopted automated deployment to predictably provision applications at scale. Common pitfalls are thinking a stack is either too simple or complex, and for greater visibility it’s easier to control the process yourself. However, GitHub and AWS provide tools and services to make these tasks approachable across the spectrum of size and complexity. Meanwhile, providing a high degree of visibility throughout the process.

Using AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK), you’ll see how to create an automated CI/CD deployment pipeline using GitHub Actions to package a Python application on “git push” and deploy it to a container in Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS)
